Spring in Montreal April 24th, 2008
I love Spring in Montreal because after ( what feels like) 8 hellish months of harsh winds and head colds, one really comes to appreciate the season here. It is even mores so because, as usual with Montreal weather , it seemed as soon as it said Spring on the calender the weather switched to perennial sunny days and blue skies as well as (comfortably) warm temperatures. Spring in Montreal also makes me think of this beautiful video by The Magic Numbers ( even though its shot in black and white, and it seems to take place in very late winter/early, still sorta cold, Spring). I have no idea why. Maybe its because the whimsy and simplicity of its concept coupled with the bittersweet vocals of the bands two main singers embodies so well the mood of the season. Or, when I first heard this song it was on one of the most beautiful days of May of last year . The perfect day to nature watch from your apartment window. Anyways what does this have to do with fashion? Nothing, I guess, other than this video makes me want to dress as light as the music has a tendency to make you feel. Anyways I decided to post the video as today was another one of those very beautiful Montreal Spring days.
